Youth (Ages U10-U18 | Born 2001-2010)

Once players reach 10+ years of age, they have expanded options for play. There are two primary streams, recreational soccer (EYSL), and competitive soccer (WYSA).

Recreational Soccer (EYSL – Eastman Youth Soccer League)

Community teams play in the Eastman Youth Soccer League (EYSL).
Teams play May-June against rural teams in the southeast region.
Games could be as far north as Beausejour or as far south as Vita.
Teams will take turns traveling to other communities for games and hosting games in Steinbach.

10 & 11 and 14 & 15 year olds play on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
12 & 13 and 16, 17 & 18 year olds play Mondays and Wednesdays.

Competitive Soccer (WYSA – Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association)

The competitive stream is perfect for players looking for a greater challenge or have aspirations of one day playing at a higher level.
Competitive is broken into two categories:
1) Developmental | Ages 9-12
2) Premiere | Ages 13-18
Teams play in the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association.
Teams play May-Sept and play 50% of their games in Winnipeg.
Teams will typically practice 2 or more times each week in the Steinbach area.
Uniform kits (socks, shorts, jersey) are an additional cost of $100.
